Gmail how-to guides

Updated October 19, 2026.

Short answers to common Gmail questions. Each guide gives the vendor's own steps first, checked against its help pages, then the same job in Donezo Inbox, an email client for Gmail, with screenshots of its demo mailbox. Where Donezo Inbox only does part of the job, the guide says so.

Sending

  • How to schedule an email in Gmail: Schedule an email in Gmail from the arrow next to Send, change or cancel it from Scheduled, and do the same in Donezo Inbox with times typed in plain words.
  • How to unsend an email in Gmail: Click Undo right after sending in Gmail, within a window you set to 5, 10, 20 or 30 seconds. After it closes, Gmail cannot take the email back.

Cleaning up

  • How to unsubscribe from emails in Gmail in bulk: Unsubscribe from many senders in Gmail's Manage subscriptions list, or from one email at a time. Donezo Inbox's Cleaner sorts senders by how little you read them.
  • How to mass delete emails in Gmail: Tick Select, click the link that selects all conversations, then Delete. Gmail keeps them in Trash for 30 days. The same in Donezo Inbox, 500 at a time, with Undo.
  • How to delete old emails in Gmail: Search Gmail for older_than:1y or before:2024/01/01, select every match and delete. When the storage comes back, and how to clear old mail by age without deleting it.

Finding and moving around

AI agents

  • How to connect Claude to Gmail: Connect Claude to Gmail with Anthropic's own connector, or with a Gmail MCP server that also works in Claude Code and Codex, covers every inbox and asks before sending.
