Connect your agent to Donezo

Updated October 26, 2026.

Ask your coding agent to read the setup instructions, or follow the steps below. The full docs cover every shortcut and supported agent. Donezo's MCP address is https://donezoinbox.com/mcp. Your agent can set up its connection, then Donezo asks you which inboxes and actions to allow.

The easiest way: ask your agent

Paste this into your coding agent

Connect my Donezo Inbox. Read https://donezoinbox.com/agents.md and follow the instructions for this agent. Ask before changing my agent configuration. Let me complete Donezo's sign-in and permission choice in my browser. Then verify the connection by listing my inboxes. Do not send or change mail.

The agent can set up the server and check that it works. You approve the configuration change and sign in on Donezo; there is no password or token to paste into the conversation.

Coding agents

Run the command for your agent, complete the browser sign-in, and choose the inboxes and permission level. These commands make a personal connection across projects.

Codex

codex mcp add donezo --url https://donezoinbox.com/mcp
codex mcp login donezo

Claude Code

claude mcp add --transport http --scope user donezo https://donezoinbox.com/mcp
claude mcp login donezo

Grok Build

grok mcp add --transport http donezo https://donezoinbox.com/mcp
# On first use, Grok Build opens browser sign-in.
grok mcp doctor donezo

In Cursor, add a remote HTTP MCP server named donezo in Customize → MCPs with URL https://donezoinbox.com/mcp. Cursor can also read a personal ~/.cursor/mcp.json entry. Do not put an account token in that file.

Chat apps and hosted agents

  • ChatGPT: add a custom MCP server in Plugins with https://donezoinbox.com/mcp and OAuth authentication.
  • Claude: open Customize → Connectors → Add custom connector, enter https://donezoinbox.com/mcp, then Connect.
  • Grok: open Connectors → New Connector → Custom and enter https://donezoinbox.com/mcp. A Grok Business admin may need to provision it first.
  • Meta Muse: ask Muse to create a custom connector for Donezo at https://donezoinbox.com/mcp. Review sign-in and access choices. Meta's guide explains its custom connector flow. Donezo has not verified a Muse sign-in.
  • Grok Bot: add a Remote HTTPS custom MCP plugin. For a shared bot, use each person's sign-in rather than one bot-wide key.

Grok, Meta Muse and Cursor have documented custom connector setup, but Donezo has not completed a live OAuth connection test with them. Grok Bot did connect in a real test. Hosted callback addresses may need a specific server-side allowance. If sign-in says the redirect address is not accepted, send the exact host to Donezo support; do not use a token in the URL.

You choose what the agent can do

Donezo's sign-in page lets you pick specific inboxes and one of four levels: read only, drafts only, changes with approval, or direct changes. Approval is the default ceiling for a first sign-in, even when an agent asks for direct changes. You can change or revoke a connection later in Settings → AI Agents.

A safe first request

Using Donezo, list the messages that need my attention today. Show the inbox, sender and subject. Do not change or send anything.

See it for yourself

The live demo runs with sample mail, no sign-in.
